Post Verdict
After the verdict, either side can appeal.
During a trial, the judge makes many rulings. A side that disagrees with the verdict can file for a new trial or an appeal based on what they perceive as incorrect rulings.
If the jury decides there was no negligence, the defense may come to you looking for payment of the defense costs. If the jury determines that you should be compensated, the defense usually appeals. This process can take a year or more. As in all stages, we can mediate during this stage.
If an appeal is successful, we loop back to Trial.
